maps.oracle.com, also known as Oracle's eLocation service, is a cloud-based map data service for use with licensed Oracle applications. Registered users' of the Oracle Technology Network may use the maps.oracle.com portal to understand some of the capabilities of Oracle's spatial technologies. It provides mapping, geocoding and routing capabilities similar to those provided by many popular commercial online mapping services. The portal is staged to show a subset of maps.oracle.com's capabilities. Applications integrate these capabilities using the maps.oracle.com XML APIs which support a wide range of mapping, routing and geocoding requirements. All Oracle Applications, internal and external, are licensed to use maps.oracle.com. It is built using Oracle's spatial technologies: FMW MapViewer and the Oracle Spatial and Graph geocoding and routing engines. The data used to drive maps.oracle.com has been licensed from Nokia Corporation.
